All figures are from **public** company results, RNS/IR releases, or reputable trade press quoting filed accounts. **No numbers invented.**

## Methodology

- **Metric (consistent):** Prefer **underlying / adjusted operating profit**; fall back to statutory **operating profit** where underlying is not disclosed. (Not PBT, except where noted as a gap.)
- **Period preference:** Most recent **completed financial year** (or audited FY trading update for Bellway FY2026). UK housebuilders generally report **H1/FY**, not calendar quarters.
- **Year-end mix (documented):**
  - June year-end: Barratt Redrow FY2026 (to 28 Jun 2026) — freshest large-cap FY.
  - April year-end: Berkeley FY2026 (to 30 Apr 2026).
  - July year-end: Bellway FY2026 trading update (to 31 Jul 2026).
  - Calendar year-end: Persimmon, Taylor Wimpey, Vistry, Miller, Cala — latest **complete** FY is **FY2025** (FY2026 not yet reported as of 28 Sep 2026); H1 2026 where available is noted in `source_note`.
  - Other year-ends: Crest/Keepmoat (31 Oct), Bloor/Avant/Gleeson (30 Jun), Morris (30 Apr).
- **Ranking:** By `profit_gbp_m` descending. Absolute £m across **different 12-month windows** — not a same-calendar-quarter league table.
